My first Exhibition

I've just had a very busy couple of weeks as an opportunity came up recently to exhibit some of my images for sale at Marzanos Cafe Bar in The Forum. This is the first time I've had such a display so cue two weeks of frantic activity sorting out which images to display, choosing frames etc and liasing with the local print company I use in order to source the best quality prints and frames.

Eventually all of the elements came together and after a lovely weekend away in North Norfolk with my family it was all systems go on Sunday evening, labeling, pricing and gathering a small arsenal of tools and different picture hanging thingamabobs before loading the car up and heading into town. All went pretty well in the end with no small amount of help from my wife Fi, whom I have to thank for the great, white frame on black background idea. My big sister Karen also popped along to help along with her daughter, without whom this wouldn't have happened, so thanks for forcing me into action Bryony!

I used black chains to hang the frames in the end which worked well as they blended in well with the black boards and within an hour or two we had all eight pictures up and looking good, especially through the lens of a well earned beer!

Even if I don't sell any it's been a great experience and it's always good to see images in print on good fine art paper; it lifts them to another level over seeing them on a monitor so I'm really pleased to have them hanging in a public place for other people to see
